Artex Tintas Ltda. was founded on October 12, 1952, by the Malzoni, Sodré, Marques da Costa and Penteado families, with the acquisition of Indústria de Tintas e Vernizes Casseli (Casseli Paint and Varnish Industry), in the district of Pinheiros, in São Paulo.

In 1964, the partnership received another member: the Gouvêa family. This setting remained intact until 1975, when the Malzoni and Sodré families decided to remove themselves the company and leave the partnership with the Gouvêa and Penteado families. The intention has always been to have a company that is different from the others, improving and producing products directed towards industries with differentiated needs.

In its constant search to expand and improve technically, it acquired and incorporated Tintas e Vernizes Pan-Cor (Pan-Cor Paints and Varnishes) from the Lapa district of São Paulo in 1964. It moved operations to this new location due to the productive space.

Looking towards the future, it acquired a 95,000 square meters are in Itu, São Paulo, in 1975, near the Castelo Branco Highway.

In March 1998, it finished transferring the industrial installations to Itu in a project developed within its needs, achieving great improvement in manufacturing processes.

Despite the changes, the company never lost its main focus, which is to sell paint to the industrial area; however, it always progressed technologically, diversifying and updating its products.

This company, which has national capital and technology, and a significant market share, is capable of developing and producing coatings for several industrial applications in compliance with the most demanding specifications.
